Captain Rick Maleshefski

Is originally from Springfield, MA, and has always had a love of the outdoors and grew up spending time in Westport, MA, boating and fishing. He then went on to attend college in Long Island, NY, where he received his degree in Marine Biology. He moved to NC in 2005 and has called it home ever since. Captain Rick has over 30 years of boating experience and about 12 years experience in the waters around Swansboro and surrounding areas.

Captain Kristen Maleshefski

First Mate RJ Maleshefski

Is a military brat and moved around a lot as a child but has called NC home since her family moved here in 1992. She grew up around the water and has had a passion for fishing since she was young. After graduating from Swansboro High School, she enlisted in the US Air Force. After serving 4 years in the military she returned to NC, to attend college and pursue a career. Captain Kristen is very familiar with the local area and has about 30 years experience in the waters around Swansboro, NC, and 10 years boating experience.

Our son RJ was born here in NC, and has grown up boating and fishing. He shares in our love of the outdoors, and has a passion for teaching people how to do all things fishing, as well as showing people how to cast net bait, and finding sharks teeth. He has recently passed his NC Boating Safety Certification Course and has about 10 years of boating experience.

Lizardfish Charters and Island Adventures is a family and veteran owned business. We are located in Stella, North Carolina. We provide our services to the areas surrounding Stella, NC to include Swansboro, Hubert, Cedar Point, Peletier, Emerald Isle, Newport, and Morehead City.

Our vision for our small charter business is to share our love of fishing and boating with our customers, in hopes of inspiring others and future generations to appreciate our local waters as well.
